You take and make life easy
With your superficial smile
Your hands out stretched for grasping
For you won’t be denied
But what about some payback
I really think it’s due
You gave a little thought now
On what you have to do

For gifts are meant for sharing

Clinging To Life
Between the cracking pavements
They cling and grasp for life
Spreading out their roots
As to this earth they fight
Once they are established
They bring their own rewards
With flowers so resplendent
They dance to natures chords
Their scent it marks the dawning
To welcome in the day
While light reflects their beauty
As in the wind they play
Their stay is all so fleeting
As to these stones they cling
Dispersing all the sunshine
There clinging lives can bring
