WHAT MAGIC PLACE
OBSCURED BY LEAVES
WHOSE DANCING FRONDS
MY EYES DECEIVE
WHAT CAROUSEL
OF NATURES RIDES
BEHIND EACH TRUNK
DO SNEAK AND HIDE
WHAT WILL IT TAKE
FOR ME TO FLY
ABOVE THOSE TREES
WHERE BEAUTIES LIE

A calmness of being
Is all I desire
No ambition for me
Can be any higher
To sit and to ponder
At all that I see
And wonder and wonder
What it means to me
For once just to measure
Its highs and its lows
And trace out a path
In which life will go
I keep hearing voices
Saying look at the time
But I have no answers
As to how much is mine
In fact if I’m honest
I don’t really care
As I search for that calmness
That I wish to share
And breathe with Mother Nature

The Peace Angel
I’m looking for some quiet
She said with just her smile
Seeking out a haven
To rest my wings a while
The light that she transmitted
Just took my breath away
And with a gentle flutter
She settled down to stay
I could not help but wonder
Just why she chose this place
A silent little corner
Where all my dreams I chase
She seemed to be contented
With all the things in view
Although no words were spoken
At least none of which I knew
The breeze that gathered around her
Made her feathers float
As if immersed in water
That left a loving coat
I whispered a simple thank you
That made her smile once more
As the vibrations from her being
Danced within my core
Alas to soon she left me
Here within this space
With just the vaguest memory
As to what had taken place.
