The very word itself is inspiring; it conjures up in my mind a world of infinite wonders that I can only marvel at.  Wonders that my head remind me that nature does not revolve around me, but around a vast universe of possibility.  For whether I acknowledge it or not, Mother Nature and all her diverse energies will continue to exist long after I have evaporated into the sand of earthly time.  She will continue to vibrate at her own frequency ever evolving and enhancing her beauty until she metamorphosis into the star she is meant to be.

The poems and writings on this site and within my books are purposely simple and are meant as building blocks to deeper thoughts (yours not mine).  They are reminders of things that in time have been overlooked or forgotten.

Please accept these little ramblings as signposts to the world you might have left behind in the innocence of yesterday

Outside The Now P.O.M. February

Outside The Now

Sometimes while I’m in motion

I step outside the now

Reflecting on the universe

And wondering where and how

The stars they go in daytime

The moon it disappears

And why the trees in forests

Play noises in my ears

Why do the restless oceans

Keep beating on the shore

And why do tiny snowflakes

Make patterns on the floor

What makes the smiles on faces

At times just disappear

And leave behind a teardrop

To wash away my fears

Why do a babies giggles

Make me glow inside

And when somebody scares me

Why do I want to hide

Why do I chase each moment

As if it were my last

Reflecting on my future

As it repeats my past

Why do I look to heaven

What do I think I’ll see

Maybe God and all his Angels

Just smiling down on me

Dusk Descends &The World It Thinks It Knows Me

Dusk descends in a whispered calm

The rush of the day

Now gives way to the dark

The heat that had conquered

Now sleeps until the dawn

And the stars in their stations

At last twinkle their form

In quiet reflection

The moon gifts her light

For she is the beacon

To guide all through the night

The owl on her perch

Scans all around

Looking for movement

And the littlest sound

But all seems so quiet

Except for the leaves

Who talk to themselves

As they tickle the breeze

Now I make haste

And wile my way home

To a place of safety

Where I am never alone

Thought To Ponder – Your friend is the man who knows you all about you, and still likes you – Elbert Hubbard

The world it thinks it knows me

That I am plain to see

But believe me when I tell you

There’s so much more to me

I think outside the box so much

It’s simply hard to tell

If I’m making sense

Of theories I can sell

My outer self is normal

Which belies what’s held inside

A million different questions

The world it tries to hide

I could give you some examples

With answers clear to see

But they would be my theories

And they belong to me.

The Rivers Source We found the rivers source Where it wept out in the sun To think we’d found the place Where its life had just begun The start of something special The flow of life itself A fissure in the rock face Regurgitating wealth We looked beyond its birthplace...

Palm Tree & Mirrored Thinking 21.01.2026.

I just thought a nice poem about warmer days in past might bring back pleasant memories. Palm Tree So tall and long and slender Before she shows her palms No branches like convention And that is just her charm Her roots they feel so sandy You’d never have a clue That...

I always find your poems so refreshing and indeed relaxing. When life becomes a whirl and gets too fast to cope with I just ‘fix’ myself by reading what you bring forward. Indeed a great tonic for me. Thank you Phil x

I have a firm belief in angels and feel them around me all of the time, especially when I need an extra bit of help in making decisions

Also, as I get older, I have a much better appreciation of the beauty of Mother Nature and enjoy nothing more than to sit in my garden and let her overwhelm me with her many gifts

The poems and writings on this website are reflections of my thoughts on various subjects, as they wander through my mind
