I just thought a nice poem about warmer days in past might bring back pleasant memories.

Palm Tree

So tall and long and slender

Before she shows her palms

No branches like convention

And that is just her charm

Her roots they feel so sandy

You’d never have a clue

That her fruit would be like nectar

A liquid form of blue

She likes to live by water

And gives away her shade

In fact she has uniqueness

In just how well she’s made

She offers up a promise

Of sunny days to come

As I sip my Pina colada

In the heat of the midday sun

Thought For Week – More important than the length of life, is how we spend it. – Marie A Furtado

Mirrored Thinking

I see you in my mirror

I talk to you at night

I bathe within the glory

Of your everlasting light

The sun and moon applaud you

As they colour in the stars

While I feel your love around me

From thoughts so near and far

Though angels do your bidding

They do it with a kiss

That shows a world of wonder

Of truth and caring bliss

The oceans in my memory

Give thanks for things gone by

While I in expectation

Upon your joys reside

I’d Invite all my futures

If I only could see

Those pearly gates of heaven

Waiting there just for me
