Here are two Angels poems from my archives of 2005. I hope you enjoy them.
ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER
THERE’S AN ANGEL
ON YOUR SHOULDER
AND HE’S WHISPERING
DOWN YOUR EAR
THERE’S AN ANGEL
ON YOUR SHOULDER
AND HE WANTS YOU
TO HEAR
ALL THE NICE THINGS
THAT CAN HAPPEN
WHEN YOU GIVE OUT
YOUR SMILE
YOU SHOULD DO IT
FAR MORE OFTEN
EVERY ONCE
IN A WHILE
FOR YOU ARE
A PLEASURE
AND THE ANGELS
CAN SEE
WHAT A DIFFERENCE
THAT A SMILE MAKES
IN ALL THAT YOU CAN BE
ANGELS WITHOUT WINGS
NOT ALL GODS ANGELS HAVE HALOS
FOR SOME ARE HARD TO SPOT
FOR IT’S NOT THE THINGS THEY ARE
BUT MORE THE THINGS THEY’RE NOT
YOU WON’T FIND THEM HERE AS LEADERS
OR EVEN PULL THEIR STRINGS
THERE ARE EVEN SOME AMONGST US
THAT REALLY DON’T HAVE WINGS
BUT BE SURE THEY’VE NOT DESERTED
AND LEFT US ALL ALONE
FOR I AM JUST THE LIVING PROOF
THEY’VE JUST GIVEN ME THIS POEM
