Misty Trees
Drifting through the misty trees
The rain It fell upon each leaf.
And in its haste to reach the ground.
All its drops just bounced around.
It seemed to me as if the sky.
Upon me wept in mournful cry.
My vision blurred to what I saw.
A world that was and is no more.
The grass was long and seems to hide
All the joys that life confides
Though I am blessed to see this day
When all my cares were washed away.
By Angels in the trees.
A Different Time
I wish I lived
In a different time
When things were gentler
And the weather fine
Where money didn’t
Rule the day
And I had to barter
To make my way
When friends were there
Always on hand
Where homes were home
And not so grand
When I could dress
In old but smart
And people spoke
Right from their heart
Oh was it really yesterday
Or just a thought of mine
Thought to Ponder – “People will walk in and walk out of your life, but the one whose footstep made a long lasting impression is the one you should never allow to walk out.”- Michael Bassey Johnson.
