Forgetful…
You seem so very forgetful
But think that it’s ok
And you only need remember
What you are going to do today
But that reply it holds no water
It leaks just like a sieve
And I know that sooner or later
Things will have to give
You are standing there before me
In your face I see the fear
That life will change forever
And to you that feels so near
You just won’t talk about it
But it will not go away
Your mind has started deleting
Or remembering your day
It’s cost is like a penance
That you really can’t afford
So please lets talk about it.
It can’t be just ignored.

Life is a gift, don’t waste it.
I am made of many moving parts
But some no longer work
Sometimes I am lost in thoughts
Sometimes the quiet can be too noisy
When you are looking for support and none is forthcoming
You are either completely wrong in your thinking or not amongst friends
A Shamed Of My Past…
Stop and talk she said
As I slowly wandered past
Her clothes they spoke of yesterday
And seemed upon their last
I’m sorry I didn’t see you
But she knew it was a lie
For I had skirted around her
In the hope she would not cry
I knew her from my past you see
Such a beauty in her prime
But time had not been kind to her
And her looks they made me sigh
Is that you I said still faking
Longing to be away
Just sit a while with me
For soon I’ll fade away
Remember all the fun we had
When you were still a boy
And I’d play with your emotions
As if you were my toy
Now you just ignore me
Embarrassed by your past
While you dance with your own ego
In a world that will not last
It’s ok I won’t detain you
You best be on your way
Still one day you will remember
How you treated me today
