I have a box of treasures
To which I hold the key
And when I lift the lid
I don’t know what I’ll see
Sometimes there will be sparkle
With jewels so clear and bright
And other times just laughter
To make my world feel right
My treasures sometimes teach me
To do the best I can
To help the world around me
And play to natures plan
But if I delve more deeply
It’s then I know I’ll see
All that’s gone before me
Just waiting there for me
But that is in my future
And not the here and now
As I pull out another treasure
For the day I know is now
