The ebb and flow of people
That wander through the door
Some that come from places
We’ve heard before
All with different accents
With such a lot to say
And we are pleased to have them
So glad they came to stay
We try our best to help them
As we greet them with a smile
Making sure they take it easy
As they linger for a while
We answer all their questions
At least the ones we know
And keep them entertained
Until they need to go
Then we thank them for their custom
And hope they’ll come again
For without their lovely visits
Our life is not the same

He’s here again she whispered
As he walked in through the door
I know where he is going
In fact I’m pretty sure
It’s to gaze upon that picture
From oh so long ago
And marvel at it’s detail
As only an artist knows
He’ll take a seat right by it
But will not speak a word
As he views each little brush stroke
From a mind that’s seldom heard
For the world that lies before him
Is a scene that’s filled with life
Created by an artist
Whose vision was precise
For it captures every moment
Within times changing light
