A GARLAND OF ANGELS
THE ANGELS PLACED A GARLAND
RIGHT HERE UPON THE GROUND
AND LACED BETWEEN ITS BLOSSOMS
SUCH BEAUTY DID ABOUND
THE PERFUME FROM EACH PETAL
DID MAKE MY SENSES REEL
AS DEWDROPS FOR THE MORNING
SWEET NATURES LOVE REVEAL
I STOOD AND LOOKED IN WONDER
AT ALL THAT I COULD SEE
WHEN SUDDENLY THESE ANGELS
WHERE DANCING RINGS ROUND ME
THEY SANG THE SWEETEST LOVE SONG
THAT I WILL EVER HEAR
IT MADE ME FEEL SO WANTED
AND TOOK AWAY MY FEARS
FOR IT TOOK AN ANGEL GARLAND
TO MAKE ME SEE ANEW
ALL THE MANY BLESSINGS
GIVEN WITH LOVE FROM YOU

The thing that I treasure
Far more than just pure gold
Is the love of all my angels
Whose beauty goes untold
They treat me oh so special
And hold me in their light
They whisper all the right things
And make my world so bright
They never once have judged me
Even when I get things wrong
They just put their wings around me
And help me move along
They’re really such a sweet gift
Which I just get for free
Worth more than any fortune
