This year due to health issues was the first in a very long time I have not been abroad, so here are poems from the past…
Voice of the Aegean
We sailed out in silence
While catching the breeze
Heading due north
As we took our leave
And there far behind us
Still waving ashore
Were all of the people
We’d come to adore
But the sea is our mistress
And we must obey
All of her calls
That takes us away
So we skirted round islands
Until we could see
The wide open space
That’s called the deep sea
Then as we plundered
And rocked to each wave
Upon the horizon
A sight we did crave
The sinking of sunlight
Just over the rim
As the light from the day
At last did give in
To voices of the Aegean
Watchers of the Field
No movement goes unnoticed
To the watchers of the field
Not a single second
To them can be concealed
All the time their vision
Magnifies each sight
And seems to look right through it
As if it were just light
For every single atom
To them is not the same
Each has its own existence
And life in which to reign
You may ask who they are
These watchers of the field
Why they’re your Guardian Angels
Now that can be revealed
Viewing all the moments
Within the life you choose
While fusing them together
Those atoms that are you
