The wind it mocks the flowers
And swirls amongst the leaves
Tormenting all the rain clouds
As from their midst they bleed
My footsteps they are silent
Against the rushing roar
As the breeze without a coaxing
Bangs against a wall
Soon I’ll reach the safety
Soon I’ll reach my home
And close the door so gently
In a place I call my own
Away from all the tempest
Away from all the storm
Just sitting by the fireside
While waiting for the morn
