The leaf it lay discarded
Its use was at an end
The tree that stood beside it
Was bare without its friends
The autumn moon in silver

It seemed a fitting ending
For all its summers toil
The goodness it had gathered
It gave back to the tree
And there at that sweet moment
it truly ceased to be

The light of the universe is easily found

All you need do is just look around

It’s written on faces that give you a smile

It breezes through trees almost all of the while

It’s life ever changing while looking the same

It’s the movement of people again and again

It’s the love of your family who greet you with joy

As the universal light we all do deploy

While searching for its source.

To one of nature’s trees
For they seem to grow forever
While just talking to the breeze
They have no need of progress
They have no need for change
And pass through every moment
As if upon a stage
I think I see their secret
I think I know it well
Just do the things that’s simple
And updates can go to h…
