On the edge of dreams

I saw you

Swirling in the mist

Cosmic rays of light

Made you turn and twist

Nothing in your substance

Was really what it seemed

As on the cusp of motion

You danced within my dream

The tie that gently held me

Became taut beyond compare

And time itself was rested

As I floated there

No measure in the universe

Had you in it’s grasp

Though I knew completely

This surely could not last

Then slowly very slowly

I fell towards my bed

To start another daydream

Without a word being said
