A Very Merry and Safe Christmas
A Wish To Hold
To dream in light
That moves the dark
To think my thoughts
And then impart
To give of time
Without reward
These gifts I wish to hold
To kiss a star
That lights the sky
Or hold the moon
So way up high
To feel the sun
So warm and new
These gifts I wish to hold
To have your trust
And friendship sweet
To make my life
Oh so complete
Then dwell a while
Within your care
These gifts I wish to hold
No Room At The Inn
I crept in slow to catch the scene
As on the pillows they did dream
Of days to come both good and bad
When they would laugh and sometimes be sad
A life ahead of who knows what
To cherish in each moment lost
While they in slumbers lay
And what of me I hear you say
No place where I can come and lay
But happy in this loving sight
My precious gifts tucked up so tight
While they in slumbers lay
PTT
The picture above was taken in the winter of 1983/84 when I returned home from night shift to find my place had been taken
I quietly left the room and settled in the spare bedroom for the day.
One of life’s beautiful moments.
The Angel’s Garden
I walked into a garden
While I was fast a sleep
And met a host of angels
Whose auras were complete
They shimmered in such beauty
It took my breath away
As they floated around that garden
With their wings in full array
Their gifts of love did flourish
Beneath a light so bright
That God himself resplendent
Did fall within my sight
He called upon his Angels
To bless my soul with care
As I danced around that garden
That the Angels let me share
SOMEONE ELSES SHOES
I CANNOT WALK
IN OTHERS SHOES
BUT IF I COULD
I’D HAVE TO CHOOSE
THE WAY THAT THEY
WOULD WALK THROUGH LIFE
AND HOPE MY STEPS
WOULD MAKE THINGS RIGHT
NOT ON A PATH
THAT’S FILLED WITH GREED
BUT ONE WITH HOPE
THAT I’LL SUCCEED
TO BRING SOME LOVE
BOTH NIGHT AND DAY
AND SPREAD GODS LIGHT
UPON MY WAY
FOR IN EACH STEP
AS I PROCEED I’LL GEL IN MAN
THAT THERES A NEED
TO DANCE IN TIME WITH NATURE
