This first poem is one of my favourite from my archives.
Take me to the waterfall
So I can see it cry
Weeping for each moment
That quickly passes by
Flowing over pebbles
And running through the glades
With oxygenating bubbles
And ripples that will fade
Majestic in its beauty
While singing out its praise
Dropping like a heartbeat
On rocks that natures laid
Blissful in its journey
Against a ebbing sun
But darkness makes no difference
As forever it will run
With tears that join together
To wash the days retreat
I will see you by the waterfall
The perfect place to meet.
Almost Cloudless sky
Cloudless
If all the clouds above us
Decided just to leave
The sky would seem so empty
As if it could not breathe
The wind would have no meaning
For nothing could it push
No more the stormy weather
That comes at such a rush
The oceans wide and open
Would simply wave away
For no clouds would come to visit
And drink from their display
The flowers in the gardens
Would wither in the ground
Longing for the past times
When rain it flow around
So don’t be quick to questioned
The need to have a cloud
For the reasons are so wondrous
They seem to shout aloud
We bring the gift of living
And shade you from the sun
For clouds they have been with you
Since time itself begun
Each of us are pebbles
of different shapes and size
and what at first seems roughened
is really smooth inside
our colours vary greatly
but we each have a part to play
and if we were the same
our world would be so grey
at times life’s tempest throws us
like chaff upon the breeze
but Angels they protect us
right through our trials with ease
now you are probably thinking
a pebble isn’t me
well maybe I’m mistake
and your really just a tree
