She sang about the sunrise

As with its light she played

Moving it in circles

Exposing all its shade

The dark that once was night time

So quickly disappeared

As she waved around her stardust

Until all the black was cleared

Birds awoke in treetops

Then burst into sweet song

The one that’s called dawn chorus

A tune for which I’ve longed

It’s then I knew for certain

Spring it had arrived

As I leapt out from my bed

And thanked God I was alive

Spring Blossom

Fleeting are the moments
When you are in full bloom
The riot of your colours
Amaze me with their hues
Then all to soon the wind blows
And carries them away
As the majesty of your structure
Is left in stark dismay
Your seeds now cast forever
To travel who knows where
As you spread around your beauty
For another spring somewhere

Thought to Ponder – Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has been, I have great faith in a seed… Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders.- Henry David Thoreau
