She sang about the sunrise
As with its light she played
Moving it in circles
Exposing all its shade
The dark that once was night time
So quickly disappeared
As she waved around her stardust
Until all the black was cleared
Birds awoke in treetops
Then burst into sweet song
The one that’s called dawn chorus
A tune for which I longed
It’s then I knew for certain
Spring it had arrived
As I leapt from out my bed
And thanked God I was alive
