Two poems about quiet moments….

Quiet times

The quiet times
Between each thought
Where broken dreams
All get caught
Things we’d hoped
Would come to pass
Now we see
Are gone alas
So what is left
If not our dreams
Just empty time and space

QUIET

I SEARCH FOR THE QUIET
TO STILL MY HEART
I SEARCH FOR THE SILENCE
NO WORDS TO IMPART
I SEARCH FOR THE LOVE
TO CARESS MY SOUL
I SEARCH FOR THE ANSWERS
FOR MY WAY TO ENFOLD
I SEARCH FOR THE MUSIC
TO THE DANCE OF MY LIFE
I SEARCH FOR MY SOULMATE
AS I WALK TO THE LIGHT
I SEARCH FOR MY ANGEL
THOUGH HE’S HERE BY MY SIDE
I SEARCH FOR MY BEING
IN WHOSE ARMS I DO LIE
I SEARCH FOR MY GOD
WHO WILL SHOW ME THE WAY
I SEARCH FOR MY FUTURE
WHILE THE NOW IT DOES PLAY
I SEARCH FOR THE POINT
BUT SURELY I SEE
I SEARCH FOR REASON
THAT I’M ONLY ME

Thought to Ponder –

“These are the few ways we can practice humility:

To speak as little as possible of one’s self.

To mind one’s own business.

Not to want to manage other people’s affairs.

To avoid curiosity.

To accept contradictions and correction cheerfully.

To pass over the mistakes of others.

To accept insults and injuries.

To accept being slighted, forgotten and disliked.

To be kind and gentle even under provocation.

Never to stand on one’s dignity.

To choose always the hardest.” Mother Teresa
