Please
Tax me Lord if I should miss
The perfumed fragrance of your kiss
If I should walk with eyes so blind
That miss the things that you’ve designed

Please
Tax me Lord if I should dance
And stop the meek in their advance
If I should stray from loves true ways
And waste each moment of my days

Please
Tax me Lord if I should sleep
While all around me stand and weep
Or I should think that I am the best
While I pull down all of the rest

Please
Tax me Lord if I should fail
To leave a life without a trail
Or if I walk for all to see
So wrapped up in only me

Please Lord just tax me……

I found the above poem in a book which I decided to read again, it is from May2008

SHAME ABOUT THE WILD

THEY’VE TAMED THE LAST STALLION
THEY’VE CAUGHT THE LAST BEAR
THEY’LL KEEP THEM IN CAGES
IT’S NOT REALLY FAIR
THEY ARE MEANT TO BE WILD
AND LIVE A LIFE THAT’S FREE
BUT THEY’LL JUST CONFINE THEM
FOR US ALL TO SEE
THEY SAY IT PROTECTS THEM
FROM GOING EXTINCT
BUT SHOULDN’T THAT JOG THEM
TO ONCE AND FOR ALL THINK
THIS WORLDS MADE FOR SHARING
SO TREAT LIFE WITH CARE
FOR MAYBE TOMORROW
IT JUST WON’T BE THERE
THIS WORLD NEEDS TO BALANCE
TO MAKE ITSELF GEL
WITHOUT THINGS THAT’S WILD
THIS EARTH WOULD BE HELL
WHY SHOULD THEY CONFORM
AND LIVE LIFE OUR WAY
FOR SURELY BEING WILD
HAS FAR MORE TO SAY
