We all wish we were perfect, but alas that can never be. Although at times we may act as if we are.

“People who live in glass houses should never throw stones” comes to mind.

Just try and be the best you can be….

Perfect People

The world is full of perfect people
You see them everywhere
Just ask them what they think of life
Because they like to share
The answers to life’s problems
That no one seems to solve
They’d love to sort the whole lot out
But they just can’t get involved
You see they are so busy
At what no one is sure
But they’ll give you a donation
For they think that it’s a cure
So all in all they are perfect
As surely you can see
You think I look like just them
Well really that can’t be.

UNCONSCIOUS BIAS

THEY TALK OF UNCONSCIOUS BIAS
BUT I THINK THAT’S IN THEIR MIND
IT’S JUST THEIR WAY OF THINKING
BECAUSE THAT’S HOW THEY ARE WIRED
THEY MAKE SUCH SNAP DECISIONS
ON EVERYTHING THEY SEE
THEY JUST DON’T GO BEYOND
ON HOW THE WORLD MIGHT BE
EACH BOOK FOR THEM IS A COVER
THEY NEVER GO INSIDE
FOR ALL OF THEIR QUICK JUDGEMENTS
IS TAKEN FROM THEIR EYES
IN LESS THAN THREE SHORT MINUTES
THEY HAVE IT ALL WEIGHED UP
YOU MAYBE WHAT THEY WISH FOR
OR JUST ANOTHER PUP
BUT IF YOU FIT THEIR THINKING
YOU’RE BOUND TO BE IN TIME
TO MAKE ANOTHER KILLING
UNTO THE UNCONSCIOUS BIAS

Dictionary Definition

Thought to Ponder – “One of the biggest problems with the world today is that we have large groups of people who will accept whatever they hear on the grapevine, just because it suits their worldview—not because it is actually true or because they have evidence to support it. The really striking thing is that it would not take much effort to establish validity in most of these cases… but people prefer reassurance to research.” – Neil de Grasse Tyson
