Orbit
I spin around your being
As clouds they pass below
While lights they burst in colour
To illuminate your glow
And then as if by magic
I see the coming dawn
As it glows its rays before it
As to the night it scorns
Your vast expanse of water
Just does not give a clue
To the depth in which it plunders
To radiate the blue
Then without a herald
Your weather casts it spell
As lightening cracks beneath me
In tolls just like a bell
You spin so very quickly
I hardly have the time
To say how much I love you
This mother earth of mine.
Oriental Bloom
I whisper the exotic
As in the breeze I sway
The magic of my being
Is there in full array
My energies are endless
As in each bloom I say
Come and taste the orient
And smell my sweet bouquet
It does not really matter
Just where you see me grow
For my roots are in the orient
But then of course you know
You may never go as far as
That place that’s called the east
But you can gaze upon my beauty
And dream of there at least.
Searching For Angels
I’m searching for Angels
I’ve looked near and far
But I tell you quite clearly
I know where they are
Sometimes when I’m quiet
They gather so near
And sing in sweet voices
Their thoughts in my ear
They calm all my moments
Till my minds is at rest
That’s when I can feel them
And be at my best
They bring me the answers
To questions unasked
Then give me directions
For all of my tasks
They’re just there to help me
Let’s make that quite clear
Those wonderful Angels
That talk in my ear
Thought to Ponder – My father said there were two kinds of people in the world: givers and takers. The takers may eat better, but the givers sleep better. – Marlo Thomas
