Slowly, Slowly creeps the night
Now the day is out of sight
Nothing is left for me to see
Where once a vista there had been
Then as if to cast its spell
On through the clouds the moon did swell
Her rays in fragments so quickly danced
They held me in a magic trance
Gently sweeping across the land
As if she was in full command
Of all that lay beneath her
Then all at once to heed her call
Upon the night the stars did trawl
And what had been an empty sky
Now filled with lights to catch the eye
A vision of such beauty
A Poem from 2007
Sanctuary Corner
Come sit a while with me and dream
Of all the things that go unseen
Like birds that fly upon the wing
Or sit on boughs their hearts to sing
Let’s look to clouds that skate on by
Or sit so still the wind doth sigh
Let’s breathe and smell the perfumed scent
That flowers in the dusk do vent
Let’s watch for stars that twinkle bright
To lighten up the darkest night
Or feel the earth from deep within
As life burst forth renewed again
Oh what a place it is to be
In this my own sweet sanctuary
While captured in this moment
Thought to Ponder – Some people hate to be different when in fact that is all we can truly be, because we are each unique. PTT
