When I look into my mirror
who is it that I see
just a pale reflection
of the person that is me
in lots of ways were different
when viewed from left and right
to me its just a mystery
and really can’t be right
at least I’m standing upright
with legs towards the ground
and my head upon my shoulders
so I can gaze around
but my arms are fitted backwards
for left is on the right
and no matter how I turn
I cannot make it right
It’s called the mirror puzzle
which science cannot solve
but at least I look quite handsome
to that I am resolved

Misplaced Energy

Waves misplace their energy
By crashing on the shore
Beating out their rhythms
With surf you can’t ignore
Recoiling from their landing
With dissipating ease
While swirling around each rock form
Whose shape they like to tease
Now sailors know the dangers
If they should come to near
A shipwreck in the making
A thing that all should fear
Alas some aren’t so lucky
And flounder in the tide
So watch out for a light house
And let it be your guide
For waves they have no feelings
And simple rush to shore
Carrying all like balsam
As to the land they claw

Thought to Ponder – Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.- Yehude Berg
