Melancholy Moments
I wonder why we ponder
on things that once have been
we should be looking forward
to try and live our dreams
but time it has a habit
of sticking on a thought
remembering a lesson
into which we’ve bought
it holds us in it’s history
re-living every part
but it’s really a fixation
that pulls upon our hearts
so we’ll give it to the Angels
and right away we’ll see
a bright and cheerful future
that belongs to you and me.
