You look but do not see it
This masquerade called life
You think you’re in the moment
But really that’s not right
You’re far too busy planning
Some future that maybe
And miss the life around you
The one that you should see
But the pixels in each second
Are dense beyond compare
And though they’re in your vision
They do not linger there
You read just what you notice
No matter how it’s wrapped
So things they go straight by you
As time it does elapse
Then as your thoughts awaken
It quickly comes to mind
And all those wanted future
Will now be left behind
It’s then you’ll shift your center
And dwell within the past
For living in this moment
To your feeble brain’s too vast
