Can you keep a secret It’s nearly Christmas time
When Angels will surround us with their glowing love divine
And all that’s gone before us will simply fade away
For what is in the past now was never meant to stay
We have to face life’s lessons how ever they arrive
And look for silver linings and greet them as a prize
That’s the miracle of living and has always been that way
A world that’s full of secrets that just might come our way.

As the end of another year is coming to a close here is a poem about the circle of life.
Life is like a circle
Life is like a circle
That ends where it began
For the energy of living
Will do the best it can
But souls are independent
And do just what they please
Along a track of free will
That no one can appease
Now some might leave quite early
For their circle is so small
And some go on forever
It doesn’t make sense at all
No one on earth predicts this
Although they think they can
But the lifespan of each circle
Belongs to everyone
From babes right through to pensioners
They’re a forward thrust of time
As life runs in a circle
Like there’s and yours and mine

Ice Crystals
With water locked within its space
Its size it grew like fragile lace
Each drop contained in frosty white
Reflected back the cold moonlight
Beneath his feet in crunching sound
The ice gave way to frozen ground
Where all things dream in still repose
Awaiting spring and warmth that glows
But just for now as if in sleep
All future thoughts remain complete
Beneath the crystal ice
