A ladybird
Sat upon my hand
And talked about
Each grain of sand
A quiet little ant
Was passing by
And said he thought
It was all a lie
The ladybird
She got upset
But the little ant
He said don’t fret
Then a dormouse peeped
From under some leaves
To see just why
The ladybird grieved
Until at last
He did say
Why waste your breath
On that fool today
He’s just a man
And they’ve no brains
Which goes along way
To explain
The stupid things they do
So fly away and let him be
For though he looks
He will not see
The importance of a grain of sand
