Just for me
You gave to me a promise
Words that meant so much
You said that you’d protect me
Like a hand that wears a glove
And no matter where I’d wander
You’d be there by my side
Forever my companion
My ever present guide
Though sometimes I’ve felt weary
You’ve carried me on home
And never in this lifetime
Have I been left alone?
You’re there within my calling
Although no one can see
My ever loving angel
That god gave just for me.

Journey Home

Who can know the journey

Through time that we will take

And who can see the moments

We leave within our wakes

For happy times or sadness

Leave without applause

As we wander through this lifetime

And pass through all fates doors

There is no way to remember

Exactly where we’ve roamed

As we amble along our journey

To a place that we call home.

Thought to Ponder – I no doubt deserved my enemies, but I don’t believe I deserved my friends. –  Walt Whitman
