Bodnant Gardens North Wales
I’m Just A Guardian
Perhaps I’m just a guardian, of everything I see.
And really own but nothing, for all in life is free.
From flowers in the garden, to little birds that fly.
Each thing it has its moment, within this world to lie
Though lifetimes maybe fleeting, at last in truth I see
No matter what I think I own
There’s naught belongs to me.
Innocent Trees
Is there wood in the forest
I really don’t know
For each time I look
I don’t think it is so
It’s true I see nature
In all of her guise
But to believe that there’s wood there
Would come as surprise
I only see balance
Between earth and sky
Like the place that the birds love
When not flying so high
You may say that I’m foolish
And daft as can be
But there’s no wood in the forest
No only God’s trees
A calmness of being
A calmness of being
Is all I desire
No ambition for me
Can be any higher
To sit and to ponder
At all that I see
And wonder and wonder
What it means to me
For once just to measure
Its highs and its lows
And trace out a path
In which life will go
I keep hearing voices
Saying look at the time
But I have no answers
As to how much is mine
In fact if I’m honesty
I don’t really care
As I search for that calmness
That I wish to share
And breathe with Mother Nature
Thoughts to Ponder – “Nothing complements a fast mind better than a slow tongue.
And nothing aggravates a slow mind better than a fast tongue.” – Mokokoma Mokhondana
Music on You Tube – Fats Waller -I’m gonna sit right down and write myself a letter.
