Hats
There are hats to ward off sunshine
There are hats to keep off rain
And every time you see one
They never look the same
For once they’re in position
Upon a person’s head
You look beneath the fabric
At statements being said
Like I am so important
This hat denotes my style
And though I might look stupid
I’ll wear it for a while
For hats require a humour
To make them say their thing
Unless it’s a balaclava
Or a deep sea divers bling
I can’t think how they measure
The circumference of a head
For it’s really what’s inside it
But I think enough’s been said
Where’s my cap..
GRANT TO ME MY ANGELS
TO DRESS MY HEART WITH LOVE
SO I CAN HOLD REPLENISHED
MY SOUL TO STARS ABOVE
TO SEE AGAIN THAT VISION
THAT GOD HE GAVE TO ME
TO HELP THE WHOLE OF NATURE
AND SET MY BEING FREE
PLEASE CUT THESE CHAINS THAT BIND ME
AND LIFT ME FROM ALL HARM
SO I CAN WALK MY PATHWAY
WITHIN SWEET ANGELS CALM
GOD BLESS
