Equanimity
Silently I wander
Along this barren path
The starkness of its being
Reminds me of the past
When things they had no colour
And all was black and white
But now as I grow older
I see I was not right
For hues have gathered around me
Since the faithful morn
When from the womb I sprouted
To take on human form
At last I see my folly
Of chasing silly goals
When all the joys I needed
Around me had been sown
It took the voice of angels
To guide me on my way
As I walk towards gods heaven
Where all things come to stay
Evening Gardening Fairy
She is gardening the flowers
To check that they don’t fade
She has brought with her some magic
To lighten up the shade
She’ll add a little colour
To try and tempt the bees
So they will gather nectar
To lay before their queen
She’s checking on the sunlight
To make sure it don’t burn
And offering some cover
If she thinks there is concern
Though you will never see her
You’ll know just where she’s been
As you breathe in all her perfume
That makes the air so clean
Every gardens got one
Of that you can be sure
An evening garden fairy
Who’s work you will adore.
