The ebb and flow of life
It brings us joy and pain
It fills our hearts with laughter
Then breaks them once again
It strengthens our emotions
So we can face each day
It does not rest for a moment
And its always been that way
It brings to us sweet new life
While clearing out the old
Because it tells our story
And helps it to unfold
Its flow it is persistent
Its ebb just the same
And no matter where we wander
The ebb and flow remains
