This poem is based on my belief that everybody is here to complete a certain special task in their lifetime.

DEFINING MOMENT

ONE DEFINING MOMENT

THAT DWELLS WITHIN EACH LIFE

THE MOMENT THAT WE’RE MADE FOR

THAT CLEARS THE WRONG FROM RIGHT

IT MAY COME IN THE MIDDLE

OR RIGHT THERE AT THE END

BUT IT’S WHAT EACH PERSONS BORN FOR

AND NOT A THING TO LEND

YOU MAY NOT KNOW THE MOMENT

WHEN CALLED UPON TO ACT

BUT YOU KNOW YOU’RE GOING TO FACE IT

FOR SURELY IT’S A FACT

IT’S THE PATH WE HAVE TO FOLLOW

TO GET UP TO THE END

THOUGH IT MIGHT JUST TAKE A LIFETIME

WE ALL GET THERE MY FRIEND

Don’t Wake me

Don’t wake me I am sleeping
I’m charging up my brain
since I ate my dinner
I haven’t been the same
I now see why the Spanish
siesta everyday
It helps with their digestion
in every single way
my snoring has a rhythm
to keep away the flies
while I occupy this hammock
beneath this pale blue sky
