Circadian rhythms are physical, mental, and behavioral changes that follow a daily cycle. They respond primarily to light and darkness in an organism’s environment. Sleeping at night and being awake during the day is an example of a light-related Circadian Rhythm

Circadian Rhythms
I live my life in rhythms
Between the sun and moon
I wake and sleep in patterns
For nature has me groomed
Like waves upon an ocean
My cycles rise and fall
As I do it without thinking
In response to natures call
Those up and down emotions
Belie an untold truth
That our bodies they are puppets
As time itself will prove
A carousel of living
That simply spins around
Upon a flight of fancy
With both feet on the ground
In cities and in country
We all just act the same
As we generate our futures
To a circadian refrain

Mirror Puzzle
When I look into my mirror
who is it that I see
just a pale reflection
of the person that is me
in lots of ways were different
when viewed from left and right
to me its just a mystery
and really can’t be right
at least I’m standing upright
with legs towards the ground
and my head upon my shoulders
so I can gaze around
but my arms are fitted backwards
for left is on the right
and no matter how I turn
I cannot make it right
It’s called the mirror puzzle
which science cannot solve
but at least I look quite handsome
to that I am resolved

Thought to ponder – “We have made clocks that are perfectly in sync with the industrial machinery and the Information Age and perfectly out of sync with nature and our circadian rhythm.” ― Khang Kijarro Nguyen
