Bedtime Angel
You tuck me up at bedtime
And smother me with love
You take away my worries
And cleanse them from above
You make sense of my daytime
And organize my night
You’re everything that’s wonderful
You’re everything that’s nice
You guard me while I’m sleeping
And steer me through my dreams
As you take me on my journey
Where no one else has been
The world and all its magic
You lay before my mind
You are my bedtime angel
God’s gift that’s so refined
I would not be without you
As I rest my weary head
I think that I will sleep now
Because enough’s been said
Night ! Night!
I’m looking for the green fields
I’m looking for the green fields
the ones I had at youth
now living under concrete
will we never learn the truth
that nature can’t be captured
instead it should be free
to burst out into colour
and roam the earth with glee
it’s just a basic lesson
we never seem to heed
no matter what our colour
no matter what our creed
it’s time we learnt to balance
it’s time we learnt to share
or else we’ll wake one morning
and nature won’t be there.
Morning Twilight
Lost in the morning twilight
Between the night and day
Come all those little moments
When Angels come to play
With wings out stretched and glowing
They smother all with light
And bring new souls from heaven
To taste a world so bright
In waves of selfless loving
They sparkle all around
And soar in all directions
As all life’s gifts they ground
Then we in quiet stirring
Awaken to our dawn
We find these joys around us
That Angels thoughts have borne
Thought to Ponder – “You have been told that, even like a chain, you are as weak as your weakest link.
This is but half the truth.
You are also as strong as your strongest link.
To measure you by your smallest deed is to reckon the power of the ocean
by the frailty of its foam.
To judge you by your failures is to cast blame upon the seasons for their inconstancy.” – Kahlil Gibran
