The sun is slowly setting upon another day
But what the night will hold I really could not say
Perhaps a million stars will clearly come to view
And the moon in all her glory will beam her joys on you
Though this is just a fancy without a grain of truth
As the clouds with ladened raindrops skirt across each roof
Surely they’ll start weeping and mask the sky at night
Hiding the heavens glory and darkening its flight
But wait the wind is blowing and pushing out the clouds
As the night sky in her splendour reveals her wares out loud
So I’ll dwell a little longer and take in all the scene
Of a million stars in rhythm to a moonbeam song of dreams
Thought to Ponder – A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities; an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties. – Reginald B Mansell
