A HOUSE IS LIKE A CANVAS
ON WHICH YOU WRITE UPON
IT TAKES IN YOUR EMOTIONS
AS IF IT WERE A SPONGE
NOW MOST IN LIFE CAN’T SEE THIS
BUT THEY CAN TRULY FEEL
IF A HOME IT HAS SOME LOVE IN
IT SURELY WILL APPEAL
SO FILL YOUR HOUSE WITH LAUGHTER
AND MAKE EACH DAY A JOY
THOUGH A HOUSE IS BRICKS AND MORTAR
IT’S YOURS TO JUST ENJOY

A life of passing strangers
Who cross our paths just once
While moving through their moments
Some without response
Perhaps they speak a language
That’s not the same as mine
But a smile is universal
I think that you will find
So speak not if you want to
But spread around some cheer
Grin as if you mean it
As wide as ear to ear
It will not cost a fortune
And you might make a friend
As you pursue your journey
From now until it’s end

A Miracle

We are just a miracle

That God put on the earth

No better than the creatures

That really were here first

He planned for us to live life

As if it were a lend

A currency of nature

That we with care could spend

But we never seemed to notice

The debt we spent each day

As the creatures all around us

Slowly passed away

Earth’s forests and her oceans

We used without concern

As we pillaged all her riches

Which were not ours to burn

Now we stand and wonder

Just were did things go wrong

Perhaps more thought for nature

We may have sung a different song

Thought to Ponder – Man thinks of himself as a creator

instead of a user and this delusion is robbing him, not only of his natural heritage, but perhaps of his future – Helen Hoover
