I’m quite ordinary
And the Angels laughed out loud
You have the gift of life young man
And you should be so proud
There’s many that just don’t make it
So they are left behind
Don’t squander what’s been given
For it is such a prize
It’s time to look around you
So open up your eyes
For the miracle of life
Can’t be quantified by size
It’s a gift that just keeps giving
To everyone that breathes

We gather up moments
And take them in our care
Some will seem quite brilliant
While others won’t seem fair
But that’s the way time wanders
Upon the path of life
When laughter can be so fleeting
And sadness just not right
Though our journey is everlasting
From here to who knows where
The energy we use up
Won’t leave too much to spare
Then somewhere in our future
We may by chance look back
And ponder our decisions
Of the love that we gave back.
