Safe Haven
I’m captured in the forest
That gives eternal love
The one that sends its mantle
Towards the god above
With boughs that cover all things
And keep them all from harm
That holds the leaves of fortune
As magic moments farm
With fruits of constant caring
And air so fresh to breathe
I stand beneath its foliage
And never want to leave
For captured in this timescale
Are wonders beyond my time
And for these precious seconds
They alone are mine
No man can take them from me
Though follies they perceive
For I am one with nature
Until it’s time to leave
