This planet that we sit on
It likes to spin in space
It follows its own pattern
As through the dark it wakes
The other planets around it
Can only watch and stare
As it dances through the cosmos
Without a single care
Its cargo is quite heavy
And always moves a round
While creating lots of sound
Someday it will be silent
And also very still
For by then it will be empty
Of the life that brings its thrill
But that is in the future
And sometime far away
As for now it spins in pleasure
Of the life it has today
