The Wind Sighs

Catch me catch me said the wind

As through the forest it did sing

Listen carefully to my sighs

For in my voice you’ll hear earths cries

And then within the loss of time

If some jilted clouds forget to climb

I will dance them all around

While chasing their teardrops across the ground

And I will fill your lungs with air

Then you’ll breathe me without a care

For not one place can be my home

As true to life I must roam

Until I am becalmed

They Said

They said I could have stopped it

I really don’t see how

Sometimes a voice in whisper

Can scream above the crowd

But maybe no ones listening

Perhaps their minds are made

It’s time to pay the piper

For all the tunes he’s played

Common sense is easy

When minds they are a like

But if I don’t conform

They’ll say I can’t be right

So I shall keep my counsel

And all my powder dry

Then if they see their folly

No blame on me can lie

For all should have a question

That to their minds they pose

Is it really good sense

To praise the new kings clothes

Thought to Ponder – Life is an unfoldment, and the further we travel the more truth we can comprehend. To understand the things that are at our door is the best preparation for understanding those that lie beyond. ~ Hypatia
